Outline three ways in which school may mirror work in capitalist society.

One way schools may mirror work in capitalist society is through a hierarchal structure. In schools, there is a head teacher at the top followed by teachers and then students at the bottom of the hierarchy. This is similar to work in which there is a boss, supervisor and regular workers low down on the hierarchy.
Another way schools may mirror work in capitalist society is rewards. In schools, pupils are rewarded for good behaviour with trips while in workers are rewarded by being paid.
A final way schools may mirror work in capitalist society is fragmentation. A school is divided into unconnected subjects which are taught to pupils and work can be divided into unconnected tasks that need to be completed.
