When do you use a capital letter in German?

In German, capital letters are only used for nouns and names and after full stops. You can recognize nouns by spotting articles in front of them (e.g der, die, das / ein, eine). It is important to remember that in German, unlike English, capital letters are not used for nationalities or languages, only for nouns and names. e.g : You would put a capital letter for “Germany” (Deutschland) but not for “German” - neither nationality nor language - (deutsch).
