How to write a law essay

Law is different from other essay based subjects. You want to be writing in extremely clear language; the shorter the sentences the better. Always try and state your point in a concise way. The best way to write is to ensure each paragraph makes one point, is backed up by evidence (this is case law or statute), and explained. Articles by academics are a great way to supplement your essay, but should not be the basis.Introductions should set out the structure and your thesis. Each paragraph following should then round-up by answering the question. Conclusions need to not just reiterate what was said in the essay beforehand. A quote is a great way to express your thesis in a clear and effective manner. By the end - your argument should be extremely clear that you will only need to conclude in a few short sentences.
