With the help of an example, give the meaning of land tenure (3)

Land tenure refers to who owns the land. In LEDCs land is usually not owned by the farmer but by a landlord. This happens in the lower Ganges Valley, where farmers pay their landlords by giving them part of their crops. So farmers are usually tenants, as they can't afford to buy the land. Communal tenure is a type of tenure  were groups, communities, or one or more villages have exclusive rights to jointly own and manage particular areas of natural resources such as land, forest and water, and example of this could be the Rendile.
