What is the difference between a baked and a chilled margin?

Magma is intruded into country rocks at a high temperature, whilst the intruded rock is at low temperature. The temperature difference between the two leads to the edges of the intrusion to be rapidly cooled, and therefore develop a chilled margin. The cooler country rock is heated at the edges next to the intrusion, and develops a baked margin.
