How do you form the Konjunktiv II in the present?

There are two ways to do this, you can either use "würde + infinitive" or a one-word form. The one-word form is identical to the past simple (Präteritum) for regular verbs, so it is only used for auxiliary and modal verbs. In this case, except for the verb sollen, the thematic vowel has an Umlaut. For all other verbs the würde + infinitive form is most commonly used.

When do I need to use 'sein' as the auxiliary verb in the past perfect tense?

Translate the following sentence into good German : "I wanted to go with them, but unfortunately, I was ill."

What is the difference between the use of the sein-passive and the werden-passive?

Can you please explain when I have to use each case?
