Describe one technique you could use to measure the threshold voltage for LEDs.

A sensitive ammeter is placed in series with LED. With the increase in Voltage, measure the potential difference value when it starts conducting. Black-out and shaded vision tube is used to observe the voltage value when visible light is first observed as the voltage is increased.

An ultraviolet wave of continuous frequency reflects from a solid surface back in the direction of the transmitter. Assuming no amplitude is lost, describe and explain the behaviour of the particles in the medium between the transmitter and surface.

How would we calculate the distance covered by a train that starts at rest, then accelerates to 5km/hr in 30 mins then stays at this constant speed for 12 minutes?

The friction coefficient of Formula 1 car tyres are around 1.7 in dry weather. Assuming sufficient power from the engine, calculate the theoretical best 0-100 km/h acceleration time in seconds. (neglect downforce, g=9.81m/s^2)
