I am struggling to solve algebra equations. I was given the following equation to solve at school and am unsure how to approach it : 4(x + 3) = 2x + 8
Nadia has £5 to buy pencils and rulers. Pencils are 8p each. Rulers are 30p each. She says “I will buy 15 pencils. Then I will buy as many rulers as possible. With my change I will buy more pencils.” How many pencils and how many rulers does she buy?
Line segment AB is drawn between point A(-3, 3) and point B(-1, -1). Work out the gradient of the line segment AB, then find the equation of the graph.
