When a performer exercises, blood is redistributed to different parts of the body. Explain two ways in which the body redistributes blood during exercise.

(4 marks)Vasoconstriction – arterioles feeding the organs that don't need blood during exercise become smaller therefore blood is redirected away from these tissues.Vasodilation – arterioles feeding the areas/ organs that do need blood during exercise (such as the working muscles) become wider and therefore blood is redirected to these tissues.
