How to differentiate 2x^5-4x^3+x^2 with respect to x

Rule of differentiating is to times down by the power and then reduce it by one.

Firstly we will handle the 2x5:

(2*5)x5-1=10x4

If we do this with the rest of the terms we get:

10x4-12x2+2x

Given that y = 16x + x^-1, find the two values of x for which dy/dx = 0

Showing all your working, evaluate ∫(21x^6 - e^2x- (1/x) +6)dx

On the same diagram, sketch the graphs of: y = |5x -2| and y = |2x| and hence solve the equation |5x - 2| = |2x|

Find values of x for which 2x^2 < 5x + 12
