My daughter feels reassured and could not believe how much easier Heerani has made Chemistry topics that my daughter struggled with much easier to understand. Pleasant friendly and a great tutor.

Joseph P. GCSE Physics tutor, A Level Physics tutor, Uni Admissions T...

Joseph has been the most fantastic help with GCSE revision this Easter. He's given up a huge amount of time, is encouraging, flexible, easy to deal with, focussed, targeted - the all round perfect tutor. His greatest achievement is to have taught my son how to enjoy maths. A lifetime's terror of the subject has turned into enjoyment. My son said he'll miss maths and he thinks he has a good chance of getting a high grade. Unthinkable before Joseph started helping him a few months ago.

Laura C. A Level English Literature tutor, GCSE English Literature tu...

Laura is a wonderful tutor! The lessons are well structured and never dull, and I honestly look forward to them every week. Laura spends time going through my practice papers, explaining exactly what is good and what could be better, and my teachers have already started to see an improvement! I honestly think Laura is a godsend for my A2 English Literature exam, and I strongly reccomend her.

Romy P. Mentoring -Medical School Preparation- tutor, Uni Admissions ...

I got 735 in my UKCAT this year, and my lessons with Romy made all the difference. She has done the UKCAT before, so she knew what she was talking about and gave advice from her personal experience. Her lessons were also very well structured, and she had clearly taken the time to familiarise herself with the UKCAT questions and techniques. She also prepared questions so that we could practice together, and sent me extra material to look at after the lessons too. She was also really nice and encouraging, and definitely made me more confident for the exam. Definitely recommended! Thank you very much Romy!

What our amazing tutors have to say

Brimming with up-to-date curriculum knowledge and always willing to help

What sort of things do you cover with your students?

Usually we cover both subject knowledge and exam technique, although that can change depending on each individual student. Then we go through diagrams, and they ask questions, and we go from there.

How is MyTutor different from school?

Lots of students say that the classes are too big in school, or that they don't have time to ask teachers after lessons. In my tutorials, we take time to explore things in a little in a bit more detail.

Studies Psychology at Bristol

What happens in a typical tutorial?

I always look up the board my students are taking so the lessons are really relevant. Then we go through past papers or set texts, whatever the student finds helpful.

How do you explain tricky concepts in your tutorials?

I use the shared whiteboard. We make diagrams together and label them, and often the student prints it off because they know it's right and they completely understand it.

Do you have any success stories?

After tutoring one girl went and told all her friends the new explanation I gave her. And she was so excited about what she wrote in the exam she emailed me immediately afterwards.

Can you help with last-minute revision?

There was one girl who had her exam on Monday. She wanted tuition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday beforehand. It was very intense, but she said the exam went well.
