My name is Rachelle O. and I have recently graduated from Durham University with First Class Honours in Spanish and Philosophy. I am incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about these two subjects and hope that after my sessions you feel the same way!

Over the past couple of years, I have gained experience with tutoring students from ages 8-16 in various subjects including Verbal Reasoning, as well as preparing students for their 13+ exams. All of my students have gained entrance into the top schools of their choice, such as North London Collegiate School and Merchant Taylors. During the summer, I also worked for National Citizen Service, and had regular kids who I mentored, which definitely developed my patience.

My sessions will be extremely student-focused; therefore, I will not just dictate and spoon-feed tutees but the sessions will be very interactive. With languages, I like to make sure that my tutees also engage with the culture of that language by encouraging them to watch foreign films and listen to the radio/TV in the language they are studying. If there is any particular area which a student is having trouble with, for example certain grammar concepts, I will think of fun ways to make the tricky areas seem less daunting such as anagrams, flashcards and even songs! Regular tests will ensure that they remember what is learnt in the sessions. Lastly, my sessions aim to be fun and rewarding. In the past when my tutees have enjoyed the sessions, they have benefited the most.
