Hi! My name is Ibraheem and I am an Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering student at the University of Southampton. I’m an experienced tutor in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming (Python and C#) at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level. I enjoy helping students build confidence, get past tricky topics, and start seeing real improvement in their work. Each lesson is shaped around how the student learns best. My name is Kaya and here's a bit about me: I am currently studying at Loughborough University, doing Product Design Technology (Bsc) and after having completed my A-levels, I can't wait to jump back in with tutoring! Happy with tutoring subjects: Maths GCSE Further Maths (Level 2) Geography GCSE Graphic Design GCSE/A-level Achieved grades GCSE: Maths (H) - 9 Further Maths - 9 Geography - 8 A-level: Maths - A Graphic Design - A* Geography - A Experience: Maths mentoring during my time at Beauchamp College for a GCSE (yr10) class gave me a large insight into how to engage with students and the best possible ways to learn. During my A-levels I also took time to support lower achieving students with explanations and answers to queries they brought to me. Structure: I plan to follow school/college structure in order to consolidate knowledge gained in the classroom. This would be going over new content before/ after viewing it at school and reinforcing knowledge by going over exam style questions. Optionally, my classes can be used to ask questions about problems that you may find difficult or need explaining which is another amazing way of reaching your target grade. Hi! My name is Jess, I have a First-Class undergraduate degree in English Literature (Warwick), Distinction-Grade MA in English and Comparative Literature (Warwick), and I am currently undertaking my PhD in English Literature and Critical Theory. I also received A*'s in my English and History A-Levels. I hit the highest grade in the county for my English A-Level Exam and was awarded a Norfolk Scholar Award in 2017. All that is to say, I know my stuff when it comes to English Literature, Language, critical reading, and academic writing. I have four years of tutoring experience across all the major exam boards, OCR, Edexcel, and AQA. English Literature and Language can be a challenge for a number of reasons. I like to begin by answering the 'why' — why do students need to study Shakespeare? What's really so important about post-war poetry? To paraphrase Robin Williams in Dead Poet's Society: plays, poems, novels and stories are what we stay alive for. They are fundamental to understanding the human condition. Not everyone will love the classics, but being able to access and understand art is one of the most important skills we can learn as people. That's the value I aim to communicate in my lessons.
