Mathematics and Statistics
Warwick
200+ lessons
I am currently in my 4th year of a Masters in Mathematics and Statistics at University of Warwick after having received my bachelor's last year. I have so far had overall grades of 83.2, 84.1 and 85.8 in my first, second and third years putting me in the top 5 students in my cohort. Next year I will be pursuing a PhD in financial mathematics at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. My interest in maths and particularly statistics began in Secondary school where I taught myself the 2-year GCSE Further Maths syllabus in 6 months and achieved A^. Statistics excites me because of its application in real life such as when decisions are made in the banking, finance and research sectors. At degree level I am able to indulge my passion for exploring and understanding why things work and not just that they work. I have experience in tutoring junior students in maths whilst in sixth form. I aim to deliver interactive lessons which will increase enthusiasm for the subject as well as understanding and the ability to tackle any question that arises in a methodical manner. Aside from my studies, I am a Level 1 Olympic Weightlifting Coach and I am part of the coaching team at Warwick Barbell Society. I also compete in the u61 weight category where I am the English Senior champion.

PPE
LSE
I know how frustrating it can feel when a topic just isn’t making sense, especially when you are aiming for those top grades but just missing out. Hi, I am Aryan, a PPE student at the London School of Economics (LSE) and I aim to create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. After achieving all 9s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Philosophy, I can help all of you achieve perfect grades and understand the system. What sets me apart is not just academic performance but a genuine passion for helping others understand difficult ideas in a way that clicks. I aim to help you not memorise the content but understand it, and more importantly, understand the marking system behind these exams. I love maths because it’s logical, elegant and incredibly satisfying when everything falls into place. Economics appeals to me because it explains how the world works—from prices in a shop to global finance—while Philosophy teaches you to think clearly and argue your point. These subjects have shaped how I think and problem-solve, and I bring that mindset to every session. Whether it’s breaking down exam technique or making abstract concepts feel more approachable, I tailor my approach to each student’s needs, helping them not just improve grades but enjoy the process too. I assure you a positive experience and I hope to be tutoring you guys soon. Thanks!

I find it to be truly fulfilling to share these skills and witness my tutees unlocking their full potential. Teaching is something I am passionate about and with five years of experience spanning KS2, KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, I'm well-prepared to assist you in grasping challenging concepts. My tutoring repertoire covers a wide range of subjects, including Maths, English, and the sciences. Currently, I'm focused on teaching A-Level Biology and Chemistry, as well as mentoring aspiring medics. I am also working towards earning an Undergraduate Certificate in Medical Education, alongside my degree, which has equipped me with valuable teaching skills that I utilise in my tutoring. While I have a go-to teaching style, detailed below, I firmly believe in personalised learning. I prioritise adaptability and tailor my approach to suit each individual's learning preferences. I've personally faced the rigors of the Medicine admissions process and understand the pivotal role the UCAT plays in securing an interview. I achieved a 790 average and SJT Band 1, placing me in the top 1% of candidates. At university, I've led UCAT tuition sessions and take great joy in mentoring future medics, helping them turn their aspirations into reality.

Hi there! I’m a graduate with a passion to see young people achieve their best potential. Having volunteered within education from literacy workshops, education outreach at university, being an academic mentor in Maths, I learnt I just enjoy sparking confidence in others, their abilities and interests - whatever they may be. I’m a firm believer that STEM is for everyone and with the right environment and support you can build confidence in your abilities to tackle challenging concepts. STEM can be really hard. You’re not alone in your frustrations, completing both my degree and A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, I completely understand the frustration when things don’t seem to click. With that in mind my primary goal with tutorials is not that you get everything right straight away but to equip you with the skills and tools to help tackle problems, which when strengthened lead you to where you need to be. As a tutor I care about you learning holistically, meaning embedding knowledge of subjects across different topics. It can be really difficult to learn topics when they feel segmented but seeing how things weave together lets you see the bigger picture and understand your curriculum better. You deserve to be as best possibly equipped when facing your education and it would lovely to come alongside you to both guide and cheer you on as you go through the process.
