Sophie T. A Level Extended Project Qualification tutor, Mentoring -Pe...

Sophie has been a fantastic tutor through the first A level year. Becky got a B in her AS level and this is hugely thanks to the time and effort Sophie has put in with her. Thanks again.

Chris N. A Level French tutor, A Level Spanish tutor, A Level Italian...

Dear Chris, Just wanted to say that Adrian keeps thriving. His enthusiasm is sky high and he is really happy that you've cleared up so many confusions that he was stuck with since school. The only problem is most of the time he speaks to me in French and I don't know a word of it. We are relly happy, thank you

Jamie C. GCSE Maths tutor, A Level Politics tutor, A Level Government...

Jamie is everything we could hope for in a tutor. He is keen and knowledgable, obviously very intelligent, but he presents material in a clear and engaging way. Jamie goes way beyond the call of duty, sending my son extra notes to help his research and not hesitating to take his time explaining points. I can highly recommend Jamie as a first class tutor. What our amazing tutors have to say

Brimming with up-to-date curriculum knowledge and always willing to help

What sort of things do you cover with your students?

Usually we cover both subject knowledge and exam technique, although that can change depending on each individual student. Then we go through diagrams, and they ask questions, and we go from there.

How is MyTutor different from school?

Lots of students say that the classes are too big in school, or that they don't have time to ask teachers after Online Lessons. In my Online Lessons, we take time to explore things in a little in a bit more detail.

Studies Psychology at Bristol

What happens in a typical Online Lesson?

I always look up the board my students are taking so the Online Lessons are really relevant. Then we go through past papers or set texts, whatever the student finds helpful.

How do you explain tricky concepts in your Online Lessons?

I use the shared whiteboard. We make diagrams together and label them, and often the student prints it off because they know it's right and they completely understand it.

Do you have any success stories?

After tutoring one girl went and told all her friends the new explanation I gave her. And she was so excited about what she wrote in the exam she emailed me immediately afterwards.

Can you help with last-minute revision?

There was one girl who had her exam on Monday. She wanted tuition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday beforehand. It was very intense, but she said the exam went well.
