How would you differentiate 3x^4 - 2x^2 + 9x - 1


A curve, C, has equation y =(2x-3)^5. A point, P, lies on C at (w,-32). Find the value of w and the equation of the tangent of C at point, P in the form y =mx+c.


Write tan(3x) in terms of tan(x). Hence show that the roots of t^3 - 3t^2 - 3t + 1 = 0 are tan(pi/12), tan(5pi/12) and tan(3pi/4)
