Uses for x-rays: Detecting broken bones, Cancer treatment, CT scans._
Uses for Ultrasound: Pre-natal scanning, Destruction of kidney stones/plaque on teeth, Internal imaging of body parts._

Advantages of X-rays: High level of detail, can form a 3D image of the body (CT scans)._ Disadvantges of X-rays: X-rays are ionising which can turn cells cancerous/kill cells._

Advantages of Ustrasound: Ultrasound is not ionising and does not damage cells._ Disadvantages of Ultrasound: Ultrasound gives a lower quality image compared to x-rays.
