My teacher has marked 'no creo que es asi' as wrong. Why?

When expressing a negated opinion, you need to use the subjunctive. So it should be 'no creo que sea asi'. This applies to many other opinion verbs, like pensar. Remember: Pienso/creo que... use the indicative. No pienso/no creo que... use the subjunctive.
