How can I make French writing coursework sound more sophisticated and earn me a higher grade?

Although it is important to express personal opinions throughout your writing tasks in French, it would be advisable to be creative. Avoid the common 'Je pense', and instead use different expressions such as 'Selon moi', 'à mon avis', 'Je crois', J'estime'. Secondly, I would highly recommend the use of connectives. They extend sentence lengths, help to draw comparisons, and generally make your writing sound more sophisticated. The use of 'qui' as well, makes it easier for the candidate to add extra details and expand their ideas. Additionally, try to avoid always using the same part of a verb. The 'je' form. Why not try an impersonal verb/expression such as 'il faut', and 'il y a'?
