How do you form the conditional tense?

The conditional tense in French is conjugated in the same manner as the perfect, imperfect and future tense; that is by taking the stem of the verb and then adding the appropriate endings. The conditional tense is formed by adding the imperfect tense endings to the stems of verbs in the future tense, which is often the infinitive of the verb. For example, je regarderais. However, it is important to note irregular stems for irregular verbs such as aller, avoir and etre.
