How do you form a Cartesian equation from two parametric equations?


A ball is projected vertically upwards from the ground with speed 21 ms^–1. The ball moves freely under gravity once projected. What is the greatest height reached by the ball?


Using the addition formula for sin(x+y), find sin(3x) in terms of sin(x) and hence show that sin(10) is a root of the equation 8x^3 - 6x + 1
