When do you use the subjunctive in Spanish?

The subjunctive is one of the three moods in spanish. The other two are indicative and imperative. It is used in the following situations: To express: - Wishes: "espero que..." - Emotions: "estoy contenta de que..." - Impersonal Expressions: "es necesario que..." - Recommendations: "te aconsejo que..." - Doubt: "dudo que..." - Denial: "no creo que..." - Hope: "ojalá que..."
