The liver is an internal organ located at the upper right quadrant of the abdomen, is a vital organ whose functions range between detoxification, red blood cell degradation, digestion, energy production, and hormone production; the liver could be thought itself to be a gland, bacause it secretes a wide range of chemicals, and many vital biochemical reactions take place inside it.
