Is there a rule to conjugate irregular verbs?

Irregular verbs are quite tricky to recognize and conjugate, however, there is a key rule that can be very helpful. Here are some examples of irregular verbs: Querer (Yo quiero, Tu quieres...), Poder (Yo puedo, Tu puedes...), Acostarse (Yo me acuesto, Tu te acuestas...), Tener (Yo tengo, Tu tienes..). When conjugating these verbs, always remember that the root changes for every person apart from the first and the second plural (Nosotros and Vosotros = We and You).

QUERER: Yo quiero, Tu quieres, Él/Ella/Usted quiere, Nosotros queremos, Vosotros quereìs, Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes quieren.

PODER: Yo puedo, Tu puedes, Él/Ella/Usted puede, Nosotros podemos, Vosotros podeìs, Ellos/Ella/Ustedes pueden.

ACOSTARSE: Yo me acuesto, Tu te acuestas, Él/Ella/Usted se acuesta, Nosotros nos acostamos, Vosotros os acostaìs, Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes se acuestan.
