The subjunctive is used in situations of disblief, desire, fear, or regret and uses certain expressions such as 'Il faut que' or 'J'ai peur que'. The verbs can be in different tenses, such as present, or perfect.

"je les ai achetés" why does the past participle "achetés" have an "s" at the end when it is an "avoir" verb? I was taught that only verbs that use "être" as their auxiliary add endings to the past participle?

When do I use the subjunctive?
