How do I find the turning points of a curve?


Find the solutions of the equation: sin(x - 15degrees) = 0.5 between 0<= x <= 180


Ball P is shot at 18m/s horizontally from the top of a 32m mast. Ball Q is shot at 30m/s at an angle 'a' to the horizontal from the bottom of the mast. They collide mid-air. Prove that cos'a' = 3/5


A curve has equation y = (x-1)e^(-3x). The curve has a stationary point M. Show that the x-coordinate of M is 4/3.
