What's the best way to improve my English grade?

Close reading! The easiest and most straight forward way to improve your English grade is to get to grips with analysis. With both GCSE and A Level, the fastest way to climb the marking criteria is showing that you understand all the possible meanings hidden within a text. Close reading is simply being able to spot particular patterns of lexis (words), figurative language, and themes. This will give you the skills to be able to tackle any passage from any text!
