What is a geometric sequence?

A sequence is defined as a function with domain the set of the natural numbers, and codomain the set of the real numbers. A geometric sequence (a_n) is a sequence of the form: a_n = a_(n-1)*r, where r is a constant real number. In other words, each term of a geometric sequence can be expressed as a product of it's previous term and a constant real.
