How would you form the perfect tense?

You need to use the conjugation form of haben or sein (if it involves movement or a change of state, e.g. freezing or falling asleep). Haben:ich habe du hast wir haben ihr habt sie/Sie habenSein:ich bin du bistwir sindihr seid sie/Sie sind The past participle is the second part to the tense. They usually start with ge- and end with a -t. However, they must be learnt!Examples:spielen --> gespielt essen --> gegesseneinschlafen --> eingeschlafen (this is different as it is a separable verb) Haben or Sein + Past Participle = perfect tense Examples:ich habe gespieltwir haben gegessendu bist eingeschlafen
