The sources also both agree that King Edward I of England was asked to help the Scots. Source A includes that Bishop Fraser wrote to the English King in October 1290 and Source B writes that William Fraser the Bishop of St Andrews wrote to Edward.Finally, the sources both agree that Robert the Bruce arrived at Perth with a large army of men. Source A states that Robert Bruce had arrived unexpectedly with a large following, whilst Source B included that at a meeting between the Scots and English ambassadors at Perth, Robert Bruce arrived with a great following.
