First together the similar terms, by rearranging the equation i.e. 3x+5x+5y-2ySecondly you would add or subtract according to the signs, the similar terms, i.e. 3x+5x=8X, 5y-2y = 3yLastly you would put the last terms together, 8x+3y, you cannot simplify further as they’re different terms
