How do you form the future tense?                              For regular –er and –ir verbs, the radical is the infinitiveFor most –re verbs, you take off the -eJe chanteraiTu chanterasIl/elle/on chanteraNous chanteronsVous chanterezIls/elles chanteront Verbs in –oyer and –uyer : ‘y’ changes to ‘i:Je nettoierai / tu tutoieras etc. Verbs in –ayer either keep the ‘y’ or change to ‘i’:                        Il essaiera etc. Verbs with a penultimate ‘e’Add a grave accent: (amener, mener, se lever, etc.)J’amènerai etc. Some verbs are irregular, and will have to be learned by heart. Here is a selection of the most common irregular verbs.Etre: ser-Avoir: aur-Aller: ir-  Faire: fer-  How do you use the future tense? An order, a request. Tu iras le voir demain et tu t’excuseras de ta conduite!  Or in the negative Tu ne sortiras pas ce soir!   Probability  Ce sera Olivier sans doute.   A perspective or a prediction  Ça ne marchera pas.  Vous verrez!
