How is the conditional used in French?

To conjugate in the conditional, you use the same verb stem as the future and add the following endings: -ais ,-ais , -ait, -ions,-iez, -aientThe conditional in French is very similar to the English equivalent (using ‘would’). It is used in the following situations:-To express a wish e.g : J'aimerais beaucoup visiter New York. -To express a request e.g: Pourriez-vous fermer la porte s'il vous plaît? -To give advice/a suggestion e.g: Tu devrais faire tes devoirs si tu veux réussir. -To express hypothetical actions e.g: Si j'avais le temps, j'irai courir tous les matins. -To describe the future in the past e.g: Ella m'a dit qu'elle ne viendrait pas.
