Describe what is meant by the term mutualistic symbiotic relationship and provide an example of one.

A mutualistic symbiotic relationship is a relationship between 2 different species where both species benefit. For example, the relationship between a plant and its pollinators is a mutualistic symbiotic relationship as the plant produces nectar which attracts and provides energy for the pollinators(i.e. birds/moths) who then spread the pollen to help the plants reproduce. There are many more examples of mutualistic symbiotic relationships including the relationship between an oxpecker bird and a rhino where the oxpecker eats all the bugs and parasites off of the rhino. The oxpecker benefits from this as they have a reliable food source and the rhino benefits from having the bugs that may lead to infection removed.
