What is integration?

when integrating a function which describes a certain curve, the answer we get gives us the area under the curve. When integrating a general polynomial you simply add 1 to the power and divide by the new power. At the end of every inegration you add an integrating constant C.

Why is there always constant of integration when you evaluate an indefinite integral?

Prove the identity: sin^2(x)+cos^2(x) = 1

differentiate y = 4x^3(12e^-4x) with respect to x

give the coordinates of the stationary points of the curve y = x^4 - 4x^3 + 27 and state with reason if they are minumum, maximum, or points of inflection.
