Please can you explain E/Z isomers?

1. Assign priority to the four groups attached to the double bond, by adding up their atomic numbers.

2. Work out which are the two highest priority (highest atomic number) - one on each carbon.

3. If these two are on the Zame Zide (same side) of the carbon, then it's Z but if they're on oppositE sides then it's E
