How do I improve my target language without living in the country the target language is spoken in?

From personal experience there are many ways to improve a language one is learning. I would say depending on your personality there are different avenues to explore. For people who are typically extroverted a great way of improving a language is through socialising. Meeting up with a native speaker for coffee can help you to practice tenses and conversational phrases in a fun and stimulating environment. For people who are more typically introverted watching a movie or using apps like Duolingo can be a great help in terms of improving your language abilities.
