Écrivez une lettre à un(e) ami(e) pour lui décrire vos vacances dernières. 200 mots maximum.

Responses would be subjective and could be as creative as the student liked, but could include points such as: where they went/ how long for/ who with, weather/ tourist spots/ food, description of transport/ hotels/ attractions.Besides accurate grammar, certain grammatical constructions could improve the student's response: a range of tenses (imperfect/ passé composé/ subjunctive/ conditional/ future/ simple future), logical connectors (e.g d'ailleurs, d'abord, alors, ainsi etc), specific constructions (e.g. si + imperfect + conditional)A wide range of vocabulary to demonstrate knowledge of French language.
Example sentences could include: "après avoir visité les églises...", "Si nous avions eu plus de temps, nous aurions visité l'opéra", "bien que Lyon soit très belle, le temps est trop chaud pendant l'été!"
