If a person has a very poor diet they may have a very low concentration of proteins in the blood. This may cause oedema. Explain Why

Proteins are important to maintain the osmotic pressure within the blood vessels. Hence a person who has a poor diet that lacks protein will end up with swelling in their bodies this is called as oedema. This happens as the fluid starts escaping into the interstitial spaces instead of being retained by the blood vessels.
