Why should you be my tutor?

I am a second year student at Durham University averaging a first in English Literature. Durham University is ranked no. 1 in the league tables consistently for English Literature and I have frequent contact with authorities in the criticism sector.

Additionally, I was formally trained to tutor from ages 4-21 for English Literature and Mathematics. I spent 30 hours a week for the two years before I came to university working as a tutor for the international corporation, Kumon Learning Centre.

I have a range of experience working with students looking to achieve highly in their exams as well as those hoping to reach a passable level. I have experience working with students with disabilities as well.

My teaching style is aimed to be casual and comfortable and to help guide the student to their own interpretations so that they may develop their skills beyond our time together. However, if one’s goal is to have original interpretations and to learn in-depth, I spend much of my free time reading recent criticism publications that are not accessible through Sparknotes or other summarisation sites that does the work for the student.
