If f(x) = x^2 - 3x + 2, find f'(x) and f''(x)

f'(x) is the first derivative of f(x) therefore f'(x) = 2x - 3

To find f''(x) simply take the derivative of f'(x), therefore f''(x) = 2

Solve the simultaneous equations 3x + 2y = 4 and 4x + 5y = 17

3x + 2y = 4 (equation 1) 4x + 5y = 17 (equation 2) Multiply equation 1 by 2.5, giving 7.5x + 5y = 10 (equation 1) 4x + 5y = 17 (equation 2) Subtract equation 2 from equation 1, giving 3.5x = -7 Therefore,...
