Student Becomes the Teacher

The Weston Mercury reports on one of MyTutorWeb’s specialist English tutors.

AN OXFORD University student from Flax Bourton has been passing on her knowledge and experience to school pupils as part of an innovative online tutoring scheme.

Laura Clash is one of 200 university students signed up to the website www.mytutor.co.uk which sees them paired up with pupils in need of some extra advice or guidance for their studies.

The website allows them to provide coaching over the internet.

Laura, aged 23, is studying English at university and later this year will begin a teaching course at Bristol University.

She has been offering coaching to school pupils for the past nine months, including a boy preparing for an entrance exam, a GCSE student studying English literature and an A-level pupil studying Hamlet.   See More…
