How can I structure the paragraphs of my answer effectively?

A really useful structure to use when writing an answer to a question is the PEEL model- Point, Evidence, Explanation, Link. Say for instance you're writing an answer to a question on how Steinbeck presents Curley's Wife in Of Mice and Men, you might structure a paragraph like this:

Point: Steinbeck doesn't even give Curley's Wife her own name.

Evidence: Throughout the whole of the text Steinbeck only ever refers to her as "Curley's wife", she is an unnamed character in contrast to the others.

Explanation: Her lack of a name stops her from being seen as a character in her own right, particularly as she is always described in association to a man- Curley.

Link: This is another example of how Steinbeck does not develop the character of Curley's wife, to the extent that she is not even given a name of her own like the rest of the male characters are.
