How should I structure my biology essay?

Mark schemes for biology essays in AQA aren't like the six mark questions at GCSE. You have to cover the subject broadly at first and show that you have an overall understanding of the tpoic in question before delving into more detail. Ensure that you use the key words that you've learnt and focus on explaining areas of the question even if they seem obvious to you. Always start with a brief introduction explaining the topic as a whole before having three main points of focus. Such as, if the topic were reproduction of living species, one paragraph on animals, one paragraph on plants and one paragraph on bacteria/viruses. Use all the information that you've learnt from the last two years to explain these topics in succinct, detailed paragraphs before linking them together in a conclusion.
