What was the significance of Meselson-Stahls experiment? Which form(s) of replication did it disprove and which one(s) did it provide evidence for?

Meselson-stahl's experiment provided evidence for the semi-conservative DNA replication hypothesis, given that 1st and 2nd bacteria cultures showed ratios of N14 and N15 in their DNA that followed that specific replication theory. The experiment showed that DNA replcation was not conservative nor dispersive.
