Describe the Cell Cycle.

All cells undergo cell division in order to replicate themselves, and this process is called the cell cycle. At the end of the cell cyclle, 2 identical daughter cells are formed. Before the major part of the cell cycle can occur, Mitosis, the cell must first create another copy of its chromosome and duplicate its subcellular components, such as mitochondria and ribosomes.

Mitosis is the process whereby the chromosomes are pulled to different ends of the cell before division, ensuring that each daughter cell will have an identical copy of the cell's genetic material.
