How should you structure paragraphs in your essay?

A strong introductory paragraph is crucial but it does not need to be too long, save your words for the middle section. As well as this, a strong concluding paragraph that links all your points together is important but again does not need to be long.

Concerning the main bulk of your answer, it should include a few paragraphs, depending on your word count of course as to how many. Structuring these paragraphs can seem daunting at first but it is easy as long as you remember to PEEL - point, evidence, explain, link. It may be a bit repetitive but it helps you include everything you need to for a strong point and further a good paragraph. A good, well analysed point should have enough content to make up a paragraph of its own but if you have some smaller points it may be good to group together similar ones to make a decent sized paragraph.
