Is the current American president imperial?

Conclusion: The current American President shows signs of both being imperial and imperilled. Different elements of his incumbency indicate his weak nature; the constraints from Congress and from the courts whilst also conforming to contemporary foreign policy. However the presidents over use of executive orders and continual assualt on the legitimacy of the press which undermines a public constraint. In comparison to previous presidents Trump has struggled to establish his supremacy most likely due to his controverisal character and the relative closeness of the election.
