What is Pythagorus Theorem ? Find the length of BC if given a right angle triangle ABC where AB is 8cm and the length of the hypotenuse AC is 10cm ?

Pythagorus Theorem states that the side of a 'Right Angled Triangle' can be found by using the formulae c= a2 + b, where c is considered as hypotenuse. In our case the hypotenuse is AC and by putting it in order we get AC= AB+ BC2. Start putting the legths provided we have 10= 8+ BC2 and Rearranging gives us: BC= 10- 82. BC= 100 - 64. BC= 36. BC = √36.  BC = 6 So, the length of the side BC is 6cm.

You are told that a straight line runs through 2 points: (1,1) and (2,3). What is the equation of the line?

How do you find the length of a side of a right-angled triangle given the angle and the hypotenuse?

From factorising a^2-b^2 hence or otherwise simplify fully (x^2 + 4)^2 - (x^2-2)^2

Factorise and solve x^2 - 8x + 15 = 0.
