Some populations of animals that have never been hunted show very low levels of genetic diversity. Other than hunting, suggest two reasons why populations might show very low levels of genetic diversity.

Populations can still have low levels of genetic diversity if they have never been hunted. This can happen because the population is very small and isolated from other populations. Small populations may inbred causing a low genetic diversity. A low genetic diversity can also a result of the founder effect - when a population is established by a very small group of individuals.
