Simplify (4^2)*(2^3)*16

Indice rules are fundamental in answering this question 1) (ab)(ac) = a(b+c)  2) (ab)/(ac) = a(b-c)  3) (ab)c = a(bc)  4) a(-b) = 1/(ab)  5) a0 = 1 We can simplify 42 to (22)2 and using rule 3 we get 24. We can also see that this is equal to 2222, which is equal to 16. Therefore we have (24)* (23)*(24). Using rule 1, this becomes 211
